1. Tell me about yourself

Hello, my name is Hoa and I am from Vietnam. I have been working in E-commerce and Digital Marketing for over 10 years. During this time, I have had the opportunity to work with various E-commerce platforms such as Amazon, Lazada, and Shopee.

At TPF, I was involved in E-commerce fulfillment for numerous brands including Unilever, Grown Alchemist, and Burt's Bees. Subsequently, I transitioned to Lazada where I held the position of Affiliate Key Account Manager. In this role, I managed top affiliate partners and networks, along with overseeing influencer marketing collaborations. I also collaborated with Commercial Key Account Managers and Brands to execute affiliate solution programs.

After three years at Lazada, I joined a Thai company where I participated in building a home and living E-commerce platform from the ground up. Working closely with product managers, technical leads, and business analysts, I contributed to the development of the website and the execution of online campaigns. However, after approximately a year, the company shifted its strategy to focus on offline operations, which no longer aligned with my passion for E-commerce and Online Marketing. Consequently, I decided to pursue new opportunities and am currently employed as an Online Brand Manager at L'Oréal, overseeing the top skincare brand, La Roche-Posay.

In the APAC region, La Roche-Posay Vietnam ranks among the top three countries and boasts the highest sales revenue in Southeast Asia. Within E-commerce, we implement a variety of campaigns including influencer affiliate programs, livestreaming events, shopping entertainment, and onsite traffic optimization. As an Online Brand Manager, my primary responsibilities include delivering brand strategy to the E-commerce team and collaborating to develop Joint Business Plan (JBP) with the E-commerce Head. Additionally, I lead a team of six individuals, overseeing E-Merchandising to ensure the brand's online presence, among other related tasks outlined in my resume.

At L'Oréal, in addition to my role as an Online Brand Manager, I also serve as the brand lead for Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Project Owner for the Ai Application Spotscan Plus, a global innovation technology project at L'Oréal.

Overall, I have a strong passion for working in E-commerce, Digital, and Influencer Marketing, and I am excited about the opportunity to continue contributing to these areas in my future endeavors.

HR Interview Questions and Answers for Experience

1. Why did you leave your last job?

To be honest, I am quite happy with my current job. I've gained a lot of experience leading online marketing for the biggest skincare brand in Vietnam, as well as overseeing two major projects here. The journey has been fulfilling, and both my team and my boss have been amazing.

I decided to apply for this job because I first learned about LOOP EARPLUGS two years ago when I read about the top startup companies in the New York Times. Two companies stood out to me: OURA RINGs and LOOP EARPLUGS. My initial impression of LOOP was curiosity about why people would choose earplugs over earphones. The innovative business model inspired me, and I have been following your social channels ever since. Whenever I seek ideas or inspiration, I visit your YouTube channel or search for your influencer marketing campaigns.

I recall that about a year ago, LOOP was seeking a Southeast Asia go to market manager based in the Philippines. I considered applying for the position, but ultimately decided against it. At the time, I conducted research on your business and found that the product price exceeded $50 when the market was tough. The average order value in Asia is much lower than in Western or American markets, so I predicted that it might not be the best time to sell at that price range.

I saw this job opening last week and revisited your presence on Shopee. Now that you have a store here in Vietnam, I recently made a purchase which will likely be delivered in the next few days. I noticed that you offer a model priced at $20, which I believe is a smart strategy.

Furthermore, I am drawn to your brand story, marketing campaigns, and products. I enjoy taking on challenges, and this job presents an opportunity to explore new ventures not only in Vietnam but also across Asia. So, here I am today.

2. How do you handle stress, pressure, and anxiety?

Stress or pressure is a part of our work life, especially when we are the leader. First I will try to understand the roost cause of problem and what I want it to be. Come up with some solutions and back up plan. Evaluate how it impacts. If it's serious or out of my control/Level, I may asking for advice from others (my manager, friends or who has experience in that field). Also build a healthy style to overcome and avoid of overthinking or reactions.

3. Is there anything that makes you different from other candidates?

First I love things I am doing. I take responsibility for work I manage and have positive thinking.

4. Tell me about a time when you were not satisfied with your performance?

Well, working in E-commerce, we have very clear Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) regarding sales revenue, both monthly and by campaign, including Livestream events. In addition to achieving our Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) targets, our focus is also on maintaining our brand's position as the number one skincare brand during mega campaigns on platforms like Shopee and Lazada. However, in the last campaign on 12.12, we lost our top ranking and dropped to number two. This outcome left everyone feeling sad and stressed, including myself.

I spent a few days reviewing our performance and analyzing all of the activities we undertook during the mega campaign, including promotional schemes and traffic sources. I also instructed my team to delve deeper into activities by other brands to understand what set them apart. Learning from these insights, we implemented some best practices, ultimately reclaiming the top spot for our brand during the subsequent mega campaign on 3.3.

To me, it is crucial to acknowledge and accept setbacks, and to seize the opportunity to improve for the next time.

5. Tell me about a time when you experienced difficulty at work while working on a project?
