The Michelin Guide has been expanding its coverage of Bangkok, and you might find some fine dining experiences in this vibrant district. Keep in mind that the restaurant scene can change, so it's a good idea to check the most recent Michelin Guide or do some research for the latest Michelin-starred restaurants in Chinatown

Here are a few Michelin-starred or Bib Gourmand-listed places that were recognized in or around Chinatown in the past:

Visiting temple

Visiting temples in Bangkok is a must-do when exploring the city, as these magnificent structures are not only places of worship but also repositories of culture and art.

Wat Yannawa Pagoda

Located within the Grand Palace complex, Wat Phra Kaew houses the highly revered Emerald Buddha, a statue carved from a single piece of jade. The temple itself is a stunning example of Thai architecture, with intricate details and colorful mosaics.

Wat Arun

Located on the banks of the Chao Phraya River, Wat Arun is famous for its towering prang (spire), which is adorned with colorful porcelain tiles. You can climb the steep steps for a panoramic view of the river and city.

Moca Museum

Stepping into MOCA Museum in Bangkok was like entering a realm where art and creativity danced hand in hand. From the moment I crossed the threshold, I was immersed in a world of contemporary Thai art that left a profound mark on my soul.

The museum's striking architecture set the stage for what was to come, a fusion of modernity and artistic expression. Its minimalist design and expansive layout created a sense of anticipation that only deepened as I explored the galleries.

As I wandered through the exhibition spaces, I was met with a rich tapestry of artistic expression. Paintings, sculptures, and installations spoke volumes, each piece telling a unique story. The art ranged from the vibrant and colorful to the thought-provoking and abstract, showcasing the diversity of contemporary Thai artists.

One of the highlights of my visit was the opportunity to witness live art demonstrations. Watching the artists at work was a fascinating experience that brought me closer to the creative process. It was a vivid reminder of the passion and dedication that go into crafting each piece.
