I have thought about doing lip blushing tattoo few times and honestly, I didn’t have any knowledge about this. I also kind of person who is lazy for doing make up or skincare, so I can say I have zero knowledge about it. And I think I am very stupid starting lip bushing tattoo without learning about it.
Therefore, in this article I will share my experience and what you should know before doing it.
What is lip blushing tattoo?
Lip blushing tattoo is a form of semi-permanent makeup that add a tint and wash of soft color softly over lips. It deposits pigments into your lips using small needles.
Lip blushing tattoo procedures
Step 1: consultation with tattoo artist about the color
Tattoo artist will have short talk and consult about the color that match with your skin. We walk through all available colors. They also suggest the shape that look good with my face and skin tone.
Step 2: Apply numbing cream into the lips
Apply numbing cream into lips will take 10-15 minutes before making tattoo. You will feel less pain and discomfort.
Step 3: Select and mix the pigments
Step 4: Shape the lip shape
Step 5: insert pigment color into lips using small needles. It is done multiple layers to help create even tone.
All the process would take 1 hour to 1 hours and a haft.
My experience with lip blushing tattoo
Is this hurt? I have quite slight skin therefore it was painful when insert the pigments into lips with needle. The artist had to stop and wait for some times because i couldn’t go through it easily.
Day 1: I felt like the color is too strong in my lips. However, it is just color to exfoliate skin and stimulate cell renewal. It looks like you put strong lipstick makeup, so no worry. I went office the day after and no-one concern about my lips.
Day 2: Everyone told me that it could hurt a lot when excess the dead skin leading to dry skin and pain. But I used my lip balm all the time to moisturizer lips. It help me to avoid of feeling dry or hurt.
My tip is using best lip balm cream would help. My favourite and 5 star rating is Burt’s Bees. Still using it daily now.
